Working with Others

The Ware Town Enhancement group consists of representatives from Ware Town Council, East Herts District Council, Herts County Council, Ware Town Partnership, Van Hage and Ware Allotments. The group aims to work together to improve the overall landscaping and public areas.

We now have an action plan for the town centre based around improvements from Buryfields, memorial garden, planters, roundabouts, and various planting around Amwell End these are being progressed by the various councils and will build year on year.

Improvements made so far:

  • Removal of Ivy and planting in memorial garden around the Malt Maker statue
  • Plans agreed to improve entry points to the town and Charvill’s roundabout
  • Planting the large bed under the tree in Tudor Square
  • Large numbers of bulbs were donated by Van Hage and have been planted around the town by volunters, donated to schools & the Priory.
  • Addtional shrubs and improvements to the Maltmaker beds and Buryfield have been planted and further improvements are to follow.
  • Sites around Cromwell ROad and King Geroges have also had improvements in2009-10 witht he provision of play equiipment and landscaping at King Georges.
